For this assignment, I was tasked with recording and editing a video. I chose to use iMovie to create a "classroom tour." I find classroom tours fun to watch, so I wanted to create my own that focuses on the important elements of my classroom. The process included capturing several clips, taking still images for the title and subtitle screens, and recording a voiceover to accompany the video.

I enjoyed this project because I had a lot of creative freedom. Before I began to record anything, I wrote an outline for the video. I planned the introduction and decided which areas of the classroom to focus on. Unfortunately, I realized I would not be able to include everything in my 3-minute video. I had to discard several clips of my student's cubbies, supply areas, etc. However, I managed to fit the important information in the video, and I was satisfied with the result.

The most tedious aspect of video production is timing. Lining up certain clips with relevant audio became difficult for me. I recorded separate audio clips (rather than a full voice-over), but splicing them together was a challenge. Also, I had to use the tools in iMovie to adjust the volume of each clip. Transitions were fun to include, but they ended up shifting the timing of the video and audio clips. Overall, I spent a lot of time adjusting the clips until they were perfect.
