eLearning & Multimedia

As an Instructional Design Intern with Actian Corporation during the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to design, develop, and publish 5 modules for Actian's DataConnect course in Actian Academy. Throughout this 12-week internship, I gained hands-on experience with technical content, learned to navigate innovative tools, and created impactful learning solutions for Actian’s customers, employees, and partners.

I designed this Open Educational Resource to train teachers to use Microsoft PowerPoint to design a classroom newsletter. Newsletters written with word processors can be boring, but using graphic design software can be daunting to teachers. PowerPoint, while easy to learn and use, can be used to create some visually interesting and effective documents for teachers.

Role: Instructional Designer, eLearning developer

Tools: OER Commons

Audience: Pre-service and in-service teachers

I used Camtasia to record this screencast tutorial to go along with the OER mentioned above.

Role: Instructional Designer, eLearning developer

I developed an instructional website focusing on Grade 2 math concepts. The website was developed using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I used these languages to code text, links, images, videos, audio clips, and other elements into my website.

Role: Instructional Designer, eLearning developer

Tools: HTML, CSS, Javascript

I used an LMS to upload a distance learning module for second-grade students studying states of matter in science. While this was a sample module and not actually used in a classroom, this allowed me to learn how to upload, structure, and maintain content in an LMS. I also created multimedia content for this course, including an animated video

Role: Instructor, eLearning developer
