Graphics-Layout Media Project
For this project, I designed and developed an interactive presentation for teachers aiming to implement Direct Instruction in their classrooms. This presentation would appear at the beginning of a longer training on the implementation of Direct Instruction in the classroom.
I aimed to create a simple, visually-appealing product that could effectively and efficiently help teachers understand Direct Instruction a bit more. It was important that I applied design principles such as contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity as I designed this multimedia project. Using PowerPoint, I created a slide-based presentation that learners can navigate on their own through clickable buttons and a navigation menu. While this is a PowerPoint presentation, I wanted to make the experience interactive (as learners can get lost in slide after slide after slide.) Therefore, I included some interactive elements, such as a multiple-choice quiz question that leads to either a correct or incorrect answer slide. I also included narrations, transitions, and animations to keep the experience interesting.

Tools: PowerPoint
Audience: Pre-service and in-service teachers with little or no familiarity with Direct Instruction
Features: Interactivity (navigation, clickable buttons, correct/incorrect slides for quiz questions), audio, animations, transitions
